How to import groups and contacts
- Log in to My Fundraising Place
- Go to Marketing > Leads
- Click on Import Leads
- Download the template that fits your data
- Fill out the template by entering your data and saving it
- Click on Select Files
- Select location of template and click on Open
- Click on Import
- Select fields from drop down for all records in template:
- Owning User
- Lead Source Type
- Category
- Activity
- Click on Import
- Click on either Recently Added Contacts or Recently Added Groups to verify import
Tips:
- Contacts must have both first and last names, spaces work as placeholders. (Contact names can have & and -)
- Phone numbers must be exactly 10 digits long and contain nothing else.
- Email addresses cannot have capital letters.
- Email addresses cannot have a space (attn: end of the address, copy/pasted things can often bring along a space).
- Address must either be completely blank, or have at least City, State, and Zip. If any of those are missing it will error. Spaces can work as placeholders.
- States must be a 2 letter abbreviation.
